Meadowlark Shopping Center

Brad Barber, an owner and property manager of the Meadowlark Shopping Center in Lakewood, Colorado, knows what a full-color YESCO message center sign can do.
"We were having severe challenges leasing the center in the early 2000s," Brad explains. "Over 2 million square feet of new retail space had become available within a five-mile radius. Even a major new facelift failed to turn the situation around."
In 2004 Brad and his partners purchased a monochrome LED message center from YESCO and had it installed on a bordering highway. It replaced the Meadowlark Shopping Center's traditional, static, multi-tenant sign – one that displayed all the center's tenants in small, virtually unreadable letters.
"The new YESCO sign played a major role in resurrecting our shopping center," states Brad. "It allowed me to give our tenants more visibility by allotting each of them, individually, a block of time on the sign. This gave confidence to the tenants we still had, and became a major tool for us in marketing to future tenants."
In 2008 Brad and his group replaced the center's existing corner monument sign with a full-color YESCO message center sign to increase the tenants' visibility to local traffic. Once again, the decision paid off.
"The combination of the two signs has been incredible for us and our tenants," Brad points out. "By the middle of 2008, only one vacancy remained and the increase in traffic was quite dramatic. I credit a major part of the shopping center's turnaround over the last few years to the additional visibility these signs have given us."
Thanks to Brad's and his partners' confidence in digital message centers, YESCO recently created and installed a full-color message center at a shopping center they own in Kansas – a property that has long needed revival.
"YESCO has made operating these signs easy," adds Brad. "We control the content from an off-site office. The PrismView® software was easy to learn and YESCO's service personnel have been quick to respond to the few issues that have come up. I already have three of YESCO's signs and I'm sure I will be purchasing more of them soon."
